Project Life

It's hard to see from the glare but I attended a Project Life class today at Too Younique. I am so glad that Heather had guest teacher, Jess, come and help us get comfortable with Project Life. I have 5  core kits and had not used any of them yet. I was able to do some of my Cruise 2011 photos today and can't wait till I can do some more. For vacation photos, this is the only way to go!
Stay tuned for some more PL fun!

A "Hoot" of a wedding.

I was privlaged enough to be included in the wedding celebration of John and Louisa Stares last evening. Margie, mother of the groom is my "bud" and loves owls. Keeping in the colors of the wedding, and bringing owls into the picture, I created this wedding card. I had seen the "wedding owls" on Pinterest and thought it was a great idea. That Stampin Up owl punch has a million and one uses.
We had a great meal, super fun table and Jeff and I even did a little dancing!

Wish I Was Back in Cuba

I've been home less than one week and I'm already wishing I could be back in Cuba. Who could blame me. It's hard to believe that my vacation has come and gone. It seemed to take its time getting here and it's already over. Matt and I had a great time. The resort was very nice, met some wonderful people and the weather could not be beat. I enjoyed many a day, relaxing by the pool, reading, snoozing and people watching. The recreation team at the resort managed daily to get people up doing all kinds of crazy things. It was most entertaining!
Tomorrow we are expecting ANOTHER snow storm! Oh how I miss Cuba! Will this blessed winter ever end???

Cuba bound

Well the day has finally arrived! I am at the airport waiting to head to Cuba for some sun and warm weather! I am so tired of this winter!
Fell in love with this Tilley hat and had to take it with me! The look on my face when the clerk asked me to fill out the warrantee card must have been priceless! I've never owned a piece of clothing that came with its own warrantee!
Will do my best to bring home some warmer weather! Take care friends-see you soon!

A Wonderful Day at the Bug!

Not only did I get to scrapbook today with friends but I also created 5 more cards for The Loonies for Lindor Crop. The crop is on June 21st and these cards as well as others will be for sale.
Joanne took care of us very well again with pitas, chili, soup and dessert for lunch and chicken, pasta veggies and salad for dinner. Oh ya and more dessert!
It was a wonderful way to spend a Saturday in February.

Enjoying a crop at The Bug with some friends tonight. Decided to finish prepping the cards for Margie's son's wedding reception.
I can't wait for the reception and a chance to wish John and Louisa congrats in person.

The Last Snuggle

Mike and Chevy had a last snuggle yesterday  before he left his foster home to go to his puppy raiser. I have never been more proud of Mike as I was this week. He did an amazing job taking care of this little guy and teaching him some important basics. Thanks to Mike for giving it his all. Hopefully, Chevy will be an amazing service dog because he surely is an amazing puppy! Good luck little buddy.

A Wee Visitor

Last Saturday I went to help hand out some of the "Hollywood" puppies. As it turned out, Chris needed a foster home for a couple puppies while new puppy raisers were finalized. I gladly offered to take Mr Orange now known as Chevy! He has been a sheer delight to have. We will have to hand him over to his new puppy raiser on Saturday afternoon but at least we had a chance for some puppy snuggles, kisses and antics.
Good luck Chevy!

Saturday Crop at the Bug!!

After spending the morning with some 8 week old Golden Retreivers, I went straight to the Scrapping Bug for an all day Crop. Worked on some copic coloring and card making.
In June, my friend Dianne Nyeboer is holding her Loonies for Lindor Crop. This is one of the cards that I made that she will have for sale at her crop. Make sure you watch for the registration information for Dianne's crop! June 21st, 2014 in Elmira. 9am to 6pm.

Stampin up Saleabration begins!

These cards were all made with papers, punches and stamps from Saleabration. These were part of my card swap that happened Friday evening at Team Social. Some of us braved the winter weather to enjoy some make n' takes, dinner and share some laughs. Farah made it all the way from Guelph in that terrible weather and even stopped for a Starbucks on the way! A lady after my own heart!

Reconnecting with Dr Joey

Last night I had the opportunity to listen to a presentation by Dr Joey Shulman. I have been following her on and off for several years. She is a chiropractor and a holistic nutritionist. Several years ago I had the opportunity to work with her for several months. I enjoyed sharing the evening with Margie and we both came away with some new outlooks on improving our health.
Tonight I am off to A Stampin Up Team meeting and I am looking forward to seeing everyone! We are doing a card swap so I will post pictures when I get home tonight.
Stay safe and try to stay warm

Hearts a Flutter Shower Card

I needed a shower card before I left for Halifax last week! Since I love the Hearts a Flutter stamp and framelits from Stampin Up I decided to give them a try. Using the colours that are already being used for the wedding, I went to work. Happy with my results and congratulations to Louisa and John.
